The Municipal Journal Achievement Awards Dinner

Wychavon District Council was short listed as a finalist, in the Transforming Customer Services Achievement, category. Evesham's Community Contact Centre, was considered to be a such a new and innovative idea that it warranted a finalist place.
 A total of 92 local authorities entered and Wychavon were up against 6 other finalist councils, from all over the country, each with their own ideas of improving services to local residents. The Mayor and Mayoress of Evesham were invited to represent the town at this very important ceremony.

Also pictured above is John Cairns, Police Authority Chairman. Our table included representatives from Worcestershire County Council and West Mercia Police. All the organisations that operate from the centre. Some 400 people attended the dinner, hosted by John Sergeant, pictured below.
